JavaScript is an important client side programming language. JavaScript is available on all major browsers and can manipulate all objects on the page.

The major limitations of JavaScript are that not all browsers interpret JavaScript code in the same fashion, and many people shut down the running of JavaScript on their computers out of concern that they could be exposed to malicious code issues. When we work with JavaScript we build the code so that it runs with the widest possible range of browsers. Also, whenever possible, the page is built in a way such that if the JavaScript is blocked the page still functions.

The following simple examples that we wrote demonstrate the versatility of JavaScript.
